HOW I CAN HELP YOU

Kala Ramnath-Bond Counselling Therapy

  • Are you stressed?
  • Worried about work?
  • Frustrated with financial stress?
  • Feel like you are not understood by your loved ones or colleagues?
  • Worried about the world as it is today with Covid 19 global instability and climate change?
  • Stuck in a state of what seems like perpetual anxiety about what the future holds for you? Your family?
It really does feel like we're in the midst of perilous times. Personal challenges in the context of epoch-changing times for our planet can add to a feeling of oppresive gloom and doom. Life is a complicated enough journey as it is. We encounter all kinds of obstacles along the way.

Sometimes we feel we can't cope and just need to talk to someone who will listen without judging us. Sometimes there might be deeper issues that you've been carrying around for a long time and now feel the need to unpack and heal. I can support you, walk alongside you through your journey as you work through your problems and challenges to find your own solutions.
Being listened to and understood without being judged is half the journey.

You can expect a safe, non-judgemental, and supportive environment in which self-knowledge, and realisation can be achieved through removal of emotional blockages. Each person is different and improvements improve over the short, medium and longer term. But it will vary acoording to each person.

Working with me, a registered person-centred integrative counsellor, you will be able to talk through the feelings that might be driving your feelings of anxiety and depression and walk with you towards a place where you can hopefully feel better and enjoy life again.

I am warm, friendly, easy to talk to and very keen to help my clients get to their most authentic self. Life is tough enough as it is. Unburdening ourselves through therapy can unlock the door and help us finding our feet to move forward one step at a time

My specialities are

  • *Anxiety in high stress executive/career environments and responsibilities, fear of changes, transitions
  • Anxiety due to Pandemic/climate change/global insecurity/fear of the future for self/loved ones
  • Stress at school; in the workplace; diversity/racism/gender; in the home; relationships with family; exams
  • Grief and loss
  • Depression
  • Special needs challenges at school at work or at home where you're parent or someone with special needs and/or a disability.

Counselling can help you to achieve your fullest potential on your own life's journey, your mind safari.

At the moment I work fully online via Zoom or Whatsapp, Signal or Skype. I'm fully insured and also registered with the BACP (governing/regulatory body for counsellors)

WHY COUNSELLING FOR ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION?

Life can be a complicated journey. There are many obstacles in our way. Sometimes we feel that it throws far too many than we can reasonably handle. At these times we just need to talk to someone who will listen without judgement; who does not 'give advice' but simply listens to us, and holds the space for reflection, growth and development.

It takes courage to make the first steps to seek help and support.

I work with young people over 16 and adults experiencing anxiety and depression, which might be brought on by feelings of disconnect, lack of energy, joie de vivre which themselves might be linked to all kinds of fears and loss including bereavement, family and relationship issues or past histories to name a few.

I use an integrative approach along with Gestalt and Existentialism. These are built around empathy, trust, respect, safety and empowerment. Kindness and compassion are fundamental. My work is client-led which basically recognises that only you know how you feel. Certain counselling styles suit some people more than others, so I draw from a number of models to provide the right support for you.

I am fully insured and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018).
Do feel free to contact me to discuss your concerns at any time. All communication is confidential. I aim to return all email enquiries within 24 hours.
